Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics Metric Assessment
The Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics© is a developmentally, biologically-respectful approach to assessing a youth’s history and current needs. This assessment organizes the youth’s developmental and relational history through the lens created by what we know about the sequential growth of the brain starting in utero to present. This information is compared to their current functioning in multiple domains, providing a guide for your clinician to identify and develop a targeted treatment approach. These targeted interventions can be useful in the home, school and community settings, producing the greatest results when implemented in a cohesive, predictable manner. Both of our clinicians are NMT© Certified through the Child Trauma Academy.
This assessment process includes an in-depth developmental history with the caregiver(s), multiple observation sessions of the youth, as well as information gathered by any identified collateral sources or previous assessments. The clinician will then engage the caregiver(s) in a follow up session to share findings and recommended interventions.
